The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA will be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed with regards to the high quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some status sassa substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area every day. The services stage created for intervention activities a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to permit the servicing of all clients and maximize access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
